We do it with pleasure, because this will mostly serve to understand what there is under every product .
As you can read therefore, our products are made all from high quality material.
And quality is absolute prerogative of every PODIUM product.
Quality is synonymous of safety, duration and comfort for horse and rider, reason of the excellence of our products.
CORDURA:
(used for the saddles) the CORDURA® is an high resistant tissue. Those are the main characteristic:
What are the characteristics of eco-leather?
It is certainly a product that has several very advantageous features.
first of all, the aesthetic result: eco-leather is a beautiful, elegant and practical material. It is resistant to wear and external stresses. It is water repellent, so it does not absorb water it is easy to clean and to keep clean; it does not alter its color when exposed to direct sunlight Sun.
It is a completely synthetic material of industrial production composed of a cotton cloth or synthetic fiber on which a film of plastic material is spread (such as polyurethane, indicated on labels as PU). The typical leather designs are then imprinted on the polyurethane, such as roughness, so as to resemble real leather in all respects.
It is NOT a natural material but plastic.
The latest generation eco-leather is an excellent compromise because it achieves the same technical characteristics of genuine leather and the difference between the two is now almost indistinguishable;
Eco-leather behaves optimally because it makes the water flow in case of rain and resists very well in the rays of the sun. Over time, Eco-leather takes on a “lived-in” appearance but not worn.
NABUK:
(used for saddles, stirrup straps, girth straps and girth) The NABUK is a leather variety “full flower” with a suede surface that makes the light and velvety skin to the touch.
The leather “full flower” is qualitatively tanned by the better part of skin, superior quality.
The hair is only removed, without altering therefore the natural superficial wheat.
Besides preserving the plot and the original signs of the animal skin, the leather full flower offers an excellent resistance in the time thanks to the natural solidity of the fibers of the skin.
The Nabuk used for our production is maded by the tannery of Ponte a Egola (Pisa), so 100% Italian leather.
MAINTENANCE
the Nabuk tan is “in bath of oil”; this treatment makes the nabuk soft and waterproof.
It will be enough, after having cleaned the nabuk with a damp cloth, to use the specific wool glove PODIUM or a brush and oil for leather to make the nabuk preserves to the whole softness initial and hard in the time.
DON’T USE DETERGENTS THAT CONTAIN CHEMICAL AGENTS.
LEATHER:
(used for saddles, stirrup straps, girth straps and girth) The leather which the saddles and the various parts of the saddle or the stirrup straps are realized, is a shoulder leather, therefore very resistant.
The thickness is than at least 2,5 mm.
Tanning is vegetable tanning.
The leather used for our production is maded by the tannery of Ponte a Egola (Pisa), so 100% Italian leather
MAINTENANCE
As for the Nabuk, the leather doesn’t also require anything else than a periodic cleaning with a damp cloth and oil for leather, using the specific PODIUM glove in pure wool.
DON’T USE DETERGENTS THAT CONTAIN CHEMICAL AGENTS.
AIRNET Or TT:
(usato per sottosella, cuscini delle selle, ghette) Nuovo materiale in fibra sintetica leggera e super traspirante (coefficiente di permeabilità: 93,6 mg/cmq, valore richiesto: ≥ 15 mg/cmq) che mantiene il microclima interno ai livelli ideali anche in condizioni di temperature elevate e, al tempo stesso, garantisce un’eccezionale resistenza all’abrasione (100.000 cicli) e alle lacerazioni (resistenza allo strappo: 1.200 N, valore richiesto: > 60 N).
L’Airnet è una fibra a micro-canali che assicura un elevato grado di traspirabilità.
Resistente all’abrasione, allo strappo e alla lacerazione.
MAINTENANCE
The Airnet or TT it doesn’t need any maintenance.

SYMPATEX:
(used for the saddle pads and saddle cloth) Sympatex® is a thin ultra membrane and not porous in polyester, completely waterproof.
Sympatex® has an high transpiration ability.
It doesn’t always need to abdicate the comfort to have excellent performances: The membrane can be lengthened of 300%.
Easy therefore to understand those characteristics in situations of intense use.
Its mechanical characteristics make the most lasting Sympatex® of seven times in comparison to other membranes.
Its non porous structure avoids how dirty, sweat, fat or any other external agent can prevent the operation of it not being of the pore that could obstruct him.
The Sympatex®, thanks to the physical and chemical which it is realized, it allows the aqueous vapor to be transported toward the outside so that to guarantee transpiration and dry skin.
The Sympatex® is realized with modified polyester, it doesn’t contain toxic material and it doesn’t provoke any allergic reaction to the skin and it is not contaminating for the environment.
How the mebrana Sympatex® works? This question rises spontaneous considering the non porous structure of the Sympatex®.
The result of waterproof and transpiration is reached thanks to the physical chemical property.
Being not a porous solid membrane, Sympatex® is waterproof.
What makes the unique Sympatex® are his molecular zones (the water’s lovers) that is been inserted in the membrane.
When it start the transpiration, this it begins to evaporate: being the more elevated inside temperature of that a physical strength produces from the inside toward the outside.
The molecules of aqueous vapor are carried toward the outside of the membrane through the zones to molecular structure.
Once carried to the outside this damp it leaves the dry inside.
Elementary but effective solution!
MAINTENANCE
The Sympatex doesn’t need any maintenance.
To remove the possible dirt will be enough a damp cloth.

ALUMINUM:

PILE:
used for saddlecloth, protection for stirrup straps XT and the girth XT) The PILE it is an interesting fiber, because it holds warm as the wool, compared to which introduces different advantages.
Contrarily of the wool, it is not heavy and, if bathed, it doesn’t need a lot of time to dry. Besides it doesn’t need particular precautions for the washing.
To the beginning the Pile was used for the sporting dresses, but the positive aspects of this fiber have made her very popular and now used, thanks also to us, in the horse riding.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN PILE?
The main fiber is the polyester, that can be worked in different way.
In some cases other synthetic fibers as polyamide are added, acrylic, elastane.
The Pile it is the result of a sweater particular workmanship, that is able to make the soft and voluminous fabric.
A fiber worked in this way contains a lot of air and is therefore able to be a good thermal insulator.
WASHING:
The Pile can be washed to 30 or 40°C.
It dries fast and must not have stretched.
The fabric must not be bleached and we advises not to use softeners, because they would enfeeble the fabric.
The Pile dries fasten than another saddle cloth The Pile he doesn’t tighten.
NEOPRENE:
(Used for the girth, the breast collar protections, horse’s boots and fetlock) It belong to the family of the hydrocarbons: it is an expanded and the workmanship is mainly effected pressing some heat breads that “they will leaven” according to a chemical reaction.
It is sold, for our sporting purposes, in sheets.
The classical aspect is that of a spongy plate, porous, constituted by an impressive number of adjoining cellars.
The small alveolus can have a discreet greatness, some millimeter, or to be so minute not to almost be noticed its microscopic structure: in base to these peculiarities the neoprene is denominated with the appellative common of: macro cellular or micro jail cell.
Each of these hollow contains a certain quantity of air (in the case of the neoprene extruded to cold, there is a gas the nitrogen) that constitutes the secret of the soft and the insulating ability: the room of air.
The intrinsic qualities of the neoprene are different from material and every firm it faces the competition with about ten solutions for all the specific demands; often the price of the final product, in base to the employed sheet, can differentiate him of as in comparison to an analogous challenger as the conclusive goodness of our articles realized with a neoprene of high quality, that introduces therefore substantial differences from a more commercial Neoprene, what for instance the hygroscopic, the elasticity, the resistance to the crushing, the memory of recovery, etc.

Other qualities to carefully be sought are: the elasticity and the softness of the neoprene, united to an accuracy of invoice almost hand made.
A good girth as a good boot or fetlock, must stick on the horse, but without knapsacks, folds, swellings, abundances but even losing excessive, measures under sizes and anomalous compressions.

NAVAL BRASS:
(used for the whole buckles) The naval brass is a copper league and zinc, dosed so that both the metals can furnish the ownerships of which we need for our specific use and in the best the ways. It is not by chance specified “naval”, because the sturdiness and the tall resistance to the sea corrosion are its great prerogatives.
The prolonged use can bring to a superficial process of oxidation however, can be easily cleaned with any product for the brass cleaning.
RUBBER REINS:
(Used for the Bio Thane) Our reins are exclusively manufactured by the Firm Equus, an European Firm.
They are easily distinguishable for the mark in relief set from the producer.
The duration is very tall and the usury, with the time and the use it is least.
THREAD:
The Thread with leather is sewn, is a pure thread, exclusively made in Italy (Verona).
The thread is, before being used, sent to the tannery which draws him leaving for a week in a bath with the same liquid of leather tanning, for a week.
This treatment makes it even more strong, it prevents the natural process of undoing of the fiber of it and makes it extremely more compatible to the same leather.
WOOL:
(used for the saddle cloth, seat cover for Champion , linings of the RAT, seats and flaps):The wool is a textile fiber that is drawn by the fleece of the sheep.
The fiber has a length of around ten cms. and introduces a characteristic curling that distinguishes it from all the other natural fibers.
Different wool qualities exist, that depend from the different races of sheep.
That from us used is of the sheep merino, that is the race for excellence for the wool production.
The wool is a good thermal insulator, since the cold air is imprisoned among the interstices created by the curling of the fibers.
And’ it is hygroscopic, that is it absorbs the damp and the sweat.
It is not inflammable, because to contact with the fire it doesn’t propagate the flame but it slowly chars.
The wool from us used belongs from the shoulders, longer and appreciated. Why do we use “Pure Virgin Wool?” The reason is in those three simple words:
pure:
wool 100%, without fibers of other kind.
virgin: points out “new wool of it shears”, that is wool ever used, not regenerated, not recovered from torn.
wool: points out the type of fiber.
WASH INSTRUCTION:
The wool is washed in tepid water with the proper cleanser or with flakes soap.
The head to be washed must be dipped in the water and gently pressed among the hands, without rubbing or to twist for avoiding that the wool felt mats him.
Immediately to rinse and very well, using water to the same temperature, both from the starts of temperature and from the residues of soap.
Don’t hang only the wool saddle cloth from an edge because the weight of the water can deform it.
Better to wash it by hand and not to squeeze it.
LYCRA:
(used for the pants XT and Classic) Elastomeric fiber constituted for at least the 85% from segmented polyurethane, produced as a continuous spin.
Among his characteristics there is an elevated elasticity and the extension up to 6 times of the initial length.
It maintains unchanged in the time her strength of reentry.
It is resistant to the oxidant and polluting agents (smokes, washings to dry, etc.) and to the chloral water.
It can be used pure or in fray with other fibers, both synthetic and natural, conferring them elasticity.

ISTRUZIONI DI LAVAGGIO:
La lana si lava in acqua tiepida con il detersivo adatto o con sapone a scaglie.
Lavare solo con acqua tiepida. Non usare candeggina e non lasciare a lungo nel cestello della lavatrice a lavaggio concluso.
